Terms & Conditions

Effective date: August 16, 2026. By booking a charter with Live Life Coastal Guiding Company, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

1. Bookings & payment

All charters are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed once Live Life Coastal accepts the booking and receives a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due before departure unless another arrangement is confirmed in writing.

Published prices, trip options and availability may change before a booking is confirmed. Charter pricing is for a private boat for up to four guests unless otherwise agreed.

A fixed $25 fuel surcharge applies per boat, per trip—not per person. Displayed charter totals already include this charge; it is not added again. Existing bookings and agreed quotes are honoured without a new surcharge.

2. Deposits, changes & cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable. When requested at least 60 days before the scheduled charter, a deposit may be transferred to another available date in the same season, at Live Life Coastal's discretion.

Cancellations within 90 days of the scheduled charter are non-refundable. Date transfers require at least 60 days’ notice and are subject to the conditions above. If Live Life Coastal is able to fill the cancelled date, a partial credit may be considered, less a 20% forfeiture. No-shows, late arrivals and early departures are not eligible for a refund.

3. Weather, safety & captain's authority

All trips operate at the captain's discretion, based on weather, sea state, safety conditions, mechanical readiness and applicable regulations. The captain may delay, alter, shorten or cancel a trip when necessary for safety. The captain's decision is final.

When a trip cannot proceed safely, Live Life Coastal will make a reasonable effort to reschedule. Fishing time, routes, species and conditions cannot be guaranteed. Live Life Coastal is not responsible for lost fishing time caused by weather, fish movement, regulation changes, mechanical issues or safety decisions.

4. Licences, regulations & catch

Every angler is responsible for obtaining and carrying the required BC Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence and any required salmon conservation stamp before departure. Fishing opportunities, retention and catch limits are governed by current regulations. Guests are responsible for their own licence records, legal possession and transport of retained catch.

5. Guest conduct & personal belongings

Guests must follow the captain's safety instructions and behave in a way that does not endanger people, the vessel or the experience of others. Illegal drugs, unsafe conduct, excessive intoxication or refusal to follow instructions may result in immediate termination of the charter without refund.

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Live Life Coastal is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal items brought aboard.

6. Assumption of risk

Marine activities involve inherent risks, including changing weather, vessel movement, slips, falls, fishing equipment and wildlife. By participating, guests acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all safety instructions. A separate waiver may be required before departure.

7. Photos & video

Live Life Coastal may capture photos or video during a charter for promotional use. Please tell Randy before departure if you do not wish to appear in promotional material.

8. Changes to these terms

Live Life Coastal may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in effect on the date of booking applies to that booking. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
